Erik Leuthäuser is an award-winning young German singer using his native language and electronics to create his own concept of music somewhere between modern jazz and experimental pop. SUCHT (2024, Fun in the Church) is the second album completely in German by the young award-winning jazz singer and composer. The album was produced by Dexter Francis Mason and Wanja Slavin and deals with autobiographically inspired addictions ranging from sex to crystal meth. His music is inspired by Berlin's gay subculture. He himself lives openly gay and has been running an OnlyFans channel since the pandemic. He is also a co-founder of Cheer Cheer, the first queer community in the German jazz scene that deals with topics such as diversity, intersexuality, multi-perspectivity and interdisciplinarity, and was awarded the special prize at this year's German Jazz Awards.
