JULIEN TASSIN SOLO 

The Belgian guitarist Julien Tassin is undoubtedly one of the most interesting representatives of the contemporary jazz scene. The musician, who draws his playful inspiration for his cinematic jazz from blues, folk, soul, pop and rock, not only has brilliant guitar technique but also a very rare expressive power. ‘Wild Around’ is Julien Tassin’s new solo album, built on the sonic and thematic foundations laid by his previous album ‘Primitiv’ (2022). Tassin was inspired by the wildness he saw around humanity, but also the wildness within, the inner and outer storms, the suffering of people and the refuge that music, tradition and a deep connection to nature can provide. ‘Wild Around’ is an ode to living in tumultuous times. ‘Wild Around’ was released on December 6th 2024 on Challenge Records.
